Disciplines of The Almighty

Today, I’m reading the book of Job in the bible. I learnt that God’s discipline might be painful and seems unbearable. But God is faithful, He inflicts pain but also heals us, so we might learn new things through this uncomfortable experience. Below is a writing inspired by book of Job.

Flying like a young sparrow
Rise and fall
Like a gold in the burning fire
Melt to purity

Disciplines are tough
Take away comfort, deny self will
Into the calamity one may enter
All the strength is broken

One will question towards the Creator
He who despise the disciplines of the Almighty
But blessed are those who fear Him
For He inflicts pain, but gives relief
He wounds, but His hands heal

To know how fragile the mortals are
Blessed are those whose life is in the hand of God
The fools lean their back on the spider web
But those whom He loves will be broken
So that to Him alone every life trusts

He Rescues Me

Last Sunday Service was amazing. I learnt how Holy Spirit keeps praying and intercedes for us every single time, knowing our weaknesses and pray for our good. Even in the darkest moment of my life, when I don’t even have strength to pray for my soul is so weary, God is always my best friend. Holy Spirit is my true helper, He carries me along and rescues me when I am unable to walk. Despite all my weaknesses, His love endures. This is how this lyric below came out.

Oh.. Holy Ghost, He is faithful
Never once my life separated from His sight
My intercessor, my helper in times of need
He knows my every weaknesses

Oh.. My God, Whose love endures forever
Never once He loses His tight holding hand
Knowing that He love me despite my flaws
I rejoice for His graceful love

All my burdens I humbly surrender now
Every struggles, pain, and all my wrongs
For I know in Him I will find my rest
My God is the only source of my strength

Even in the darkest pit I ever be
Times when I cant even say my prayer
My God is still there by my side
With His mighty hands He carries me…
He rescues me…

Courage to Dream

Alone at the floor of gold and silver
A place I’ve known best, I’ve stayed for long
All the beauty, charming pearl and everything
Walls without window or doors, white and plain

The thirst cannot stop, wanting more and more
What’s the meaning of all rich when there’s no dream
A jail in my heart, a palace of comfort
That swaps away the courage to dream

Just wanna stay, I have everything
No further steps, all things are alright
No more mistakes, no more failure
Do not mess, life is perfect now
Well the truth is I’m losing everything

Let me out of here, I am running to you
Fear that held me back will never again
Break the wall, open me up to a whole new world
And there I see my dream

Leave everything back, I don’t care
Emptiness inside changed to hope
My heart is burning just for you
For now I have the courage to dream

A Fellowship Night

When the sun not awaken yet
And dreams still ordaining night
In the midst of deep sleeps
That voice spoke gently

I heard, it called my name
It said, wake up my dear
This is fellowship time
Just you and me

My mind still half awaken
Quick reflect was to ignoring
But deep inside I know
That sweet voice is his

Both eyes opened fresh
Never I woke up like this
Lyrics of song filled my mind
Waiting to be released in harmony

That moment became precious
When praises coloured the night
Towards the only One worthy
My Lord, Saviour, Adonai

Serving You

Lifting hands, surrender
Here my all O Lord
A servant who follow You
Give all of me for You
You own me all, O God

Lifting face towards You
Here I am O Lord
Send me and use me
Let Your desire become mine
Not my will but Yours

Let me be faithful to You
A servant who know Your heart
Walking in purity and love
Humble before Your Holy throne

Let none but You I desire
Less of me and more of You
Until Your glory shine in me
Serving You my King a life time

Break My Heart

Break my heart O God
With what break Yours
Rise in me a compassion
For the sake of Your people

A crying heart for a city
Breath in Your deepest desire
A life sacrifice for a nation
Resonate with Your amazing love

Give a heart like a father
Embrace the broken heart
To restore joy in calamity
And bring healing to a generation

Kill My Flesh

Every cell inside was groaning
Desired a rebellion against the King
Everlasting chain bound down
Til divine salvation was delivered

Clashes of desire battle within
The ego of man burning in flames
Grip of faith is challenged
My prayer, ‘Oh please, kill my flesh’

But the cross has granted our victory
Flesh has died, Spirit has reigned
For we are now slaves of righteousness
Walking in total obedience to the Father
